Jiang Chan’s voice was steady and cold. “I didn’t do anything. You’re the one with weaknesses piled high. Is Jiang Siyu even Jiang Yu’s son? As for grudges, don’t you know them yourself?”
“How did my mother, Lin Wan, fall into depression? How did you provoke her and make her worse? How did Jiang Yu trick her into marriage? Neither you nor Jiang Yu are any good!”
“And now you still have the face to ask me what grudge I have against you?” Jiang Chan steadied her emotions. In that moment, she strangely resonated with the feelings of the original owner.
Qin Miao slumped back in her chair. “So that’s how it is. You’ve gotten your way. Are you satisfied now? You ruined me and left me like this!”
There was no trace of a smile in Jiang Chan’s eyes. “Satisfied? Hardly. What you owe my mother, you can repay slowly in here. As for Jiang Yu…”
She didn’t finish. With a click, she hung up the phone. Seeing Qin Miao finally get the punishment she deserved, Jiang Chan felt nothing but relief. A pest that had been buzzing around for so long had finally been thrown into prison, and her life was much quieter.
Before, she always had to guard against Qin Miao lashing out in desperation. Now she could finally relax.
Only Jiang Yu remained. How could a man who tricked his way into marriage still live happily with wife and child? Walking out of the prison, Jiang Chan’s fair face in the sunlight was cold.
