Aoli didn’t look too happy, because both Aimo and Black Wolf seemed to be defending Ning Luo, and they were both warriors of the tribe. She couldn’t continue targeting Ning Luo.
But what happened today, she had taken it to heart.
“Ah Guoguo.”
Black Wolf spotted Tang Guo sitting not far away. His cold expression softened a little. At this point, he hadn’t developed special feelings for Ning Luo yet, he still liked Ah Guoguo. Naturally, he was happy to see her.
He walked up to Tang Guo and took out a particularly beautiful beast bone necklace. “For you.”
Tang Guo glanced at it and shook her head. “I don’t want it.”
“Just take it. Don’t you really like pretty necklaces?” Black Wolf insisted on stuffing the beast bone necklace into Tang Guo’s hand. “Several tribes are already willing to ally with our Lado Tribe to face the upcoming beast tide together.”
“That’s great,” Tang Guo replied. She quietly observed Black Wolf. He looked normal enough. She couldn’t understand why he would do so many biased things later. Maybe the female lead’s halo was just too strong.
Black Wolf stared at Tang Guo for a while and saw her smiling as she greeted Aoli. A trace of helplessness crossed his face.
“Ah Guoguo, you’ll be coming of age in just over a year.”
Tang Guo gave him a sideways glance. “That’s right.”
Black Wolf looked slightly nervous. “Ah Guoguo, do you have a male you’re interested in?”
[Host! He’s confessing to you.]
“I do.” Tang Guo smiled as she answered. As soon as she said it, she saw Black Wolf get even more nervous. He simply nodded, his face showing a slight smile, but he didn’t ask further.
He said, “I still have things to do. If there’s anything you want, come find me.”
“Ah Guoguo, Ah Guoguo, was Black Wolf just trying to ask you for an early mating?” Aoli, who had been paying attention the whole time, couldn’t help but sit down next to Tang Guo the moment Black Wolf left, looking delighted. “That’s really great. Black Wolf is the top warrior in the tribe, he and Ah Guoguo would be perfect together.”
After speaking, she looked a little troubled. “Gaien already has a female, and it’s such a weak one. Ah Guoguo, Gaien must be blind to choose such a weak female.”
“Gaien should’ve been mine.” Aoli said with some frustration. “Gaien is the second-ranked warrior in the tribe. What part of me is worse than that Ning Luo? So what if she can cook meat broth? I can fight wild beasts. Ning Luo is so weak, she’ll only drag Gaien down.”
“The beast tide that comes once a year is approaching soon. Ah Guoguo, just look at Ning Luo, you can tell she needs everyone to protect her.”
Aoli said with great dissatisfaction, “She’s not even a member of our tribe. So weak, and we don’t even know if she can give birth to healthy cubs.”
To the beastman race, reproduction was extremely important, because every beast tide resulted in the death of many beastmen. If they didn’t reproduce more, the beastman race could go extinct.
“If Gaien doesn’t like Aoli, then Aoli should go find a warrior even stronger than Gaien. If there isn’t one in our tribe, there are others in the surrounding tribes, right?” Tang Guo said.
The system perked up when it heard that, thinking happily to itself, looks like Host plans to change Aoli’s fate of being killed by a wild beast.
Which made sense. Ah Guoguo really cared about Aoli as a friend.
“But who could be better than Gaien? I still really like him,” Aoli said. “I just can’t understand, how could Gaien fall for such a weak female?”
